Please share any anecdotes. This is not the NXTPAPER 4.0 version the Ultra has.
What I REALLY think about the TCL 60 XE NXTPAPER 5G! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2tfK7Xybfg
One said he found much more comfortable the TCL 60 vs the iPhone 13 he was using previously.
I use a TCL 60 XE NXTPAPER 5G. It is so much easier on my eyes than the iPhone 13 I had before. I couldn't look at the iPhone at all near the end.
As a significant bonus, this phone includes a headphone jack. This is one of the key pluses as well of the Moto G55 versus the Moto G75. Not having a headphone jack is never as good as having one.
Wired headsets are really nice, including for calls, and a dedicated headphone jack is so much nicer to use on a day to day basis versus an adapter. Besides that, I've found highly variable mic quality when using a high quality USB-C to 3.5 mm adapter. Sometimes the mic quality is quite nearly as good as a headphone jack, sometimes it's awful, and sometimes it's somewhere in-between. Hard to tell without direct testing, and all the adapters themselves vary.
The first adapter I tried by Anker was awful across all the phones tested. Yes, the adapter facilitated good quality audio into my ears, but the mic quality was not serviceable. I bought the Anker because I had read it is the best.
I since bought a 32-bit UGREEN one I'm assuming is about as good as they get, but even still it facilitates good mic performance only with some phones, and even then if closely scrutinizing the mic quality in the best case, it is slightly worse than using a headphone jack directly. I happened to take the time to do extensive testing. Most wouldn't.
Also, although I've had good experiences with the UGREEN one, at least when respecting the variation across phones, one says:
I'm using the 32 bit ugreen one. It crackles a lot as if picking up some interference.
Once again, the adapters just aren't as good as dedicated headphone jacks, for several reasons, and getting the most out of a phone requires a wired headset, so any phone missing a headphone jack is significantly less appealing.
By the way, the Moto G55 is a considerably more compact phone than the Moto G75. The headphone jack doesn't take up any room. You don't notice it until you want to use it. There are 5 large holes on the bottom of the G55: 3 for speakers, one for USB-C, and one for the headphone jack. If you really think the headphone jack makes the phone more vulnerable to water or debris, you can install a rubber dust plug.
