Sorry OP, and thanks for posting this. I was thinking of buying an OLED monitor. You saved me (and my money).
Now, what really does it to someone when they use a screen like that for hours a day? Anyone really know? No wonder these screens make people feel so irritated and depressed.
I had another call with a techie and he told me you would be amazed by what the brain perceives that the eyes do not.
For what it's worth, all my contributions are made on flicker-free LCD monitors. This helps ensure I remain comfortable, in high spirits, and with a sharply working mind.
