"The Motorola Edge 50 Pro looks great on paper, but I'm a little hesitant about the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip. I've heard some reviewers mention it can struggle with super intense games on high graphics settings. Don't get me wrong, it should handle most things fine, but if you're a serious mobile gamer, you might want to consider a phone with a more powerful chip like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Anyone else have experience with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3?"
Here's an example of a comment that was left at PWM_Sensitive in response to a usable device, namely the Edge 50 Pro: https://www.reddit.com/r/PWM_Sensitive/comments/1cjco4i/just_ordered_motorola_edge_50_pro/
I'm just sharing this because it's completely ridiculous to be on an eye strain community while turning down a usable device with a very powerful Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. Where do these people come from? Imagine having eye strain issues and insisting you need to play intense games for extended periods on "high graphics settings" or else a device is not worthy of your consideration. Such a person clearly is wed to their eye strain condition and enjoys at some level not being able to find anything sufficient. Those psychological conditions are more prevalent than you may believe.
More of the same:
"The Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 in the Edge 50 Pro feels like a letdown. I would like a flagship chip, especially considering the price tag. Don't get me wrong, it's fine for everyday use, but it might not be ideal for power users or gamers. I think Qualcomm’s snapdragon chipset seems very disappointing in terms of the performance of this Moto phone."
Meanwhile, a sane review:
"I am extremely sensitive to PWM, have wasted a lot of money so far, and couldn't stand an hour with any OLED phones, but with 50Pro, this is my 5th day of consecutive heavy usage of all my office emails, slack and WhatsApp calls, and all is good so far, no eye issues, etc. I enabled the night shift, extra Dim option, and ket brightness at 65 constant without adaptive brightness. I waited for 5 days to get over to comment. It's just an awesome phone in every aspect. For my usage, the battery was almost 1.5 days, and I left with 20%."
