Hey everyone,
I’ve always had issues with eye strain from laptop and smartphone displays.
I recently returned an Acer Nitro V15 — even after disabling dithering and lowering contrast, the strain didn’t improve.
Now I’m looking for a laptop with Thunderbolt 3 (for eGPU gaming) and a CPU with at least 4.4 GHz Turbo Boost, but most importantly — a panel that won’t cause eye strain.
I’ve shortlisted these models (all 10th Gen Intel, 14" FHD):
- HP EliteBook 840 G7 – i5-10310U
- Dell Latitude 7410 – i5-10310U
- Fujitsu LifeBook U7410 – i7-10610U
- Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 1 – i5-10210U
- Dell Latitude 5410 – i7-10610U
Has anyone used these or similar models? Did you experience eye strain (especially from FRC/dithering)? Any panel codes (e.g. LP140WF6, BOE NV14...) you can confirm are true 8-bit or clean 6-bit without visible FRC?
Alternatively, can you recommend other Thunderbolt 3 laptops (≤400€ used) with good displays for sensitive eyes and ≥4.4 GHz Turbo?
Thanks in advance!
