It uses an old intel chip that uses UHD graphics which, on windows 10, I can use without issue. I don't know how UDH graphics work on linux though. I'm kind of grasping at straws looking for another tablet experience. My hope is that drivers and operating system behaviors can be changed in linux vs android and ios having all of that locked down.

Clokwork well Intel Linux driver dithers under 8bit but it's spatial. I think you can easily change the register similar to amd.

Clokwork Why torture yourself so much? Unless you want to tinker with various bugs, better then get Android or Chrome OS. These will be mature linux systems with big communties and support systems around it, like security updates and OS updates. There is no way you will have comparable system integration with these June tablets. And all of them are open source.

jordan thanks for that. Spatial dithering doesn’t bother me at all thankfully. It’s the temporal that gets me. I hope they bring this back in stock. I’m Super interested.

Clokwork np! I guess the only other thing that can be an issue is FRC on the panel side maybe ? Not sure if that can use temporal.

Yes it can, that's what FRC is.

Donux I'm not so much worried about the user experience as I am the usability. If I don't get any symptoms from it, I will code around what I need. This would simply be a source to browse the web, watch videos, and listen to music. I never use a tablet for anything that requires real effort.

That said, Android bakes temporal dithering into the OS from what I've read. I don't know about Chrome though.
