Has anyone considered the OnePlus 15R?

I was researching phones that could possibly be safer alternatives and while OLED is usually a no-no for many, I am still able to use my iPhone X (on an old IOS) without issue. That leads me to believe that OLED has the capability of being safer on the eyes than the majority of OLEDS we are being sold today.

Here are the highlights that make this phone possibly be worth a look:

The OLED panel is stated to be true 10 bit
From 25%-100% brightness, the phone uses DC dimming
The brightness dip that plagues OLED panels is much lower (as low as 3.89%)

I may end up giving this phone a try. I've heard the OnePlus name around here in the past so I thought I'd mention it.

Clokwork Nick from android central reviewed it and found zero dithering and I think it was full dc dimming too. I do think maybe the OLED material in general could also play a role in comfort as in slightly different wavelengths. Seems like a solid option for OLED

I think it's one of the best or maybe the best OLED option out there for PWM-sensitivity.

But I have some points:

The modulation over 25% for the refresh dip is record-low, but under 25% I don't like that the PWM modulation is so low, that the refresh dip is sticking out as a bigger dip with a bigger black stripe in between grey stripes of the pwm. I think it's better to use full modulation here and synchronize both so you get an perfectly even wave/ stripe pattern, like the OnePlus 15 does under 25%. (But unfortunately over 25% uses bigger refresh dips than 15R).
BOE X3/Q10 emitter Material is extremely trimmed for high brightness/high efficiency/max. color gamut. So they use that sharp, thin peaks in the light spectrum for Red, Green, Blue. With nearly no light in between. This gives this sharp/digital/laser like effect to the colors/light emmision. This is not PWM-related, but can be a problem too for OLED-sensitive people. I think Motorola Edge or LG pOLED Panels in particular are the only ones that use a little broader, more natural light spectrum (but it will be never on the level of LCDs). But im not sure as this gets worse everywhere from generation to generation. Unfortunately their PWM is not on the same level…they have an interesting anti flicker mode but I didn't find PWM tests for example for the Moto edge 70.

malte765 Based on the reviews of the OnePlus Ace 6T, which is supposed to be a OnePlus 15R for the Chinese market, it uses a Tianma display.
