Computers, smartphones, and all the technology they come with is fantastic. It's life-changing; some use it for work, others for hobbies.
That said, until now I've told myself how these devices are a "curse" because spending hours at a computer for work, or because I had to, was a problem for me: headaches, pressure on my temples, and many other problems.
And yet, the real and only problem isn't the computer itself, which is a fantastic object, but the peripherals that interact with the data we need to manipulate. In this case, the screen.
Using e-ink screens, at 80%, has solved everything. However, there are still some annoyances due to the low refresh rate and many other limitations of this technology.
That said, I now see computers and smartphones more as tools, and I no longer immerse myself in them.
For all those who suffer from "artificial light," I truly understand you, and we're in the same boat.
