Hello, I am thinking about the perfect monitor nowadays and it comes to my mind if, regarding color depth, the only important detail is to not have FRC, independently than if it's 8 or 10.
8 bits has 16'5 milion color, while 10 bits has 1.07 bilion. Maybe having 10 native bits of depth color prevents the system to use any hidden/difficult to dissable dithering option, but on an old windows 7 a 8 native bits could be the same as 10? I don't know.
The curiositiy comes because not everything that is connected to a monitor/TV is a computer with Windows 11, which is mandatory to use with a 10 bits monitor. It can be a Playstation, a phone, media casted from another source, etc
What is your opinion?
