Hi guys,
for some years now I was using a 13'' 2015 MBP and had some eye strain because of long time use.
However in the last months it seems to have gotten worse and worse and I could not figure out what the problem was.
To me it seems that Apple did something to the rendering in the last versions of High Sierra. This was probably in preparation for Mojave or something.
I could see in the Kernel Extensions folder that they updated the graphics driver in 10.13.5. This caused a lot of strain for me.
Disabling System Integrity Protection and reverting the driver to the one from 10.13.4 solved the issue for me.
Now I upgraded to 10.13.6 and could not get the same positive effect with reverting the graphics drivers. I guess there is something going on in how the screen is rendered.
At the moment the laptop is reverting back to a TimeMachine backup because I cannot bear looking at the screen anymore.
What versions of OSX are you guys using? Any increased issues with newer versions of OSX?
( I got this idea because I bought a 15'' 2013 MBP off eBay. It was running 10.13.4 and was pretty good on the eyes. Updating to 10.13.6 made it worse. So I started digging... )
