In short, compression.
Things like flicker and spectra will be specific to the monitor you watch it on. Things like dithering are generally wiped out by compression of the video. Without compression, video files would be massive, and streaming video on the internet wouldn't work without a fast connection.
An example of this is watching lets plays on youtube, I am very sensitive to dither on modern graphics cards, but thanks to youtube's aggressive compression I watch recordings made using modern graphics cards with no problem.
