I have experience of using few laptops with different display types, which I would like to divide into two groups.
Group 1, laptops which doesn't give me eye strain problem: Lenovo z570, MacBook Air 2014 13 inch, MacBook Pro 2011 15 inch, and a few other old laptop models manufactured before 2012.
Group 2, all of the modern laptops, give me eye strain after 5-10 minutes of usage: MacBook Pro 2015, 2017, 2018, MacBook Air 2018, Lenovo Thinkpad T580, Thinkpad T440, DELL Precision 3530, Acer Nitro 5 AN515-52, and many other I've tested at the local computer store.
So far, I've found the only one common spec of laptop displays that give me the issue - it's the Slim shape style.
Here's the list of the shape styles that laptop panel could have taken from panelook.com:
Anybody who has knowledge of how laptop displays are built, could the Slim shape style be the cause of eye strain in my case? Maybe there are some specifics in construction which make eyes be more exposed to LED?
