I know there are some random threads around mentioning medical marijuana and other possible medications but I am curious if any of you have tried any pharmaceutical things--or even recreational drugs-- that have helped.
I had leftover pain pills from past injuries. I am allergic to them (they make me itch) and make me feel very tired but I experimented with them for my eyes. Tramadol and Hydrocodone did not help. Oxycodone gave me about 2 hours of relief and I could look at screens with no pain. I don't feel that something that addictive is a long term solution...especially with only 2 hours of relief.
Any OTC pain meds (Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Aspirin) do nothing.
I hate the way marijuana makes me feel so I have not explored getting a medical card and trying different strains...but CBD oil does not help.
I tried MDMA recently and my eyes felt fine and I was even able to have fun doing virtual reality on the PS4 for quite a while.
Alcohol doesn't eliminate the pain but it can certainly dull it.
So, of course it could reduce stress and that may help but I wonder if our issue more neurological if things like MDMA seemed to help. That is absolutely not a solution as one could not/should not consume this regularly. But it was an interesting experiment.
Has anyone else had success with meds or drugs?
