Sounds like you - perhaps in addition to the same eye sensitivity as the rest of us - have developed some kind of sensitivity to EM fields. This isn't unheard of in the medical literature, but I don't know what to suggest for you other than sewing a faraday cage into your clothing (which y'know isn't a bad idea).
You also seem hypersensitive to sounds. I'm actually glad I can't hear the hard drives spinning as loudly as I used to when I was younger (yay for middle age!) because it would probably drive me nuts too.
The virtualization technology though I'm a little iffy on. There is so little EM coming off the chip to begin with, I don't see how flipping the pathways would cause this. That one I'd be inclined to call psychosomatic.
