The reason I bring this up is that it might be possible for Android devices to override the PWM frequency to something crazy with custom kernel code.
Unfortunately the PWM frequency in the code isn't just the simple Hz value but another value that gets calculated to the Hz value. I found the formula on some Russian forum but forgot to bookmark it 🙁
