What type of monitor should I choose? Ofice high quality one / home / Gaming High Refresh rate

The ultrawide that I have is IPS as well as the 3 monitors in this picture
Could it be that IPS panel is the problem?
Should I stop focusing of eye certificates and rather on the panel type? VA / TN?
Or rather the main focus should be hz?

Honestly, best thing to do is try out as many as you can. There isn't much you can do to predict how you'll be effected in advance.

Not sure I'd put any stock into these "certifications" that monitors have either. Given how understanding of the health issues involved is still rather primitive.

I know EIZO monitors have better build and quality control then many other brands, and I was going to borrow one myself, but current pandemic conditions prevent that from happening at the moment. Apologies I can't comment further.

People smarter than me on this site say panel type doesn't matter. They say VA seems better only because it maintains contrast at lower brightness. Perhaps that's true, but the only monitors I have been able to use long term have had VA panels.

I have Asus VZ229HE which is pretty similar to Asus VA24DQ and I must admit it's easy on my eyes, but it still gets me some kind of head strain especially when the lighting around is not right.
