Hello, I'm new on this forum as I just discovered it, but I'm experiencing eyestrain due to LED / OLED since 2009, when I bought an Acer tiny laptop.
I'll present myself moreover in the "Welcome" topic , but I wanted to share a tip (maybe already known) for OLED (Doesn't work on LED screens for me) smartphone owner that is working 100% for me.
I've tested it with an old Galaxy S3 (unusable for me without the trick)
and a ZTE Axon 7 (the one I'm using now)
I'm putting the brightness of the smartphone to maximum (I think it avoids flickering)
and Downloading an app called "Filtre lumière bleue" from Ascendik
(It should be named differently in your country, maybe "blue light filter")
I think most "software brightness dimmer" app should work, but this one does for sure.
This app also filters bluelight ...
Avoid flicker + Dim the screen + less blue light
For my case, it does the job, I can stay as long as I want watching my little pixel junk ...
Just be sure to put smartphone brighness to maximum !
Hope it can help someone...
I have to do the same on my office LED screen, to see if it works (I'm feeling strain since I changed job with a new LED screen ... not as intensive as 2009 LED screens, but it is incidentally decreasing my sight)
Have a nice day all
