Quick summary of my story, I am suffering from burning sensation in both of my eyes when I am using any tech product (TV, monitor, tablet, phone, etc.) using an LED backlight or OLED. I don't have any problems with older CCFL backlight monitors (Apple Cinema Display, Eizo).
Anyway, I bought a new TV recently (Sony 900H) and what I noticed is that when I start feeling the burning sensation, I squeeze my eyes really hard for 10 seconds or so which brings immediate relief. I can watch a movie or play a game with almost no pain after that. When I feel it again, I just repeat.
I have no idea why this method helps, but I noticed that my eyes get a little watery when I do that. I tried a million dry eye products already and nothing helps, so it's not just dryness.
It also works when I am using other devices, but not as good as with the TV. I guess because I sit farther away from it than when I am holding an iPad.
Does anyone have similar experiences with this method or knows what's going on?
