hey to everybody,

i've just seen that the nvidia control center allows "overclocking" to a higher hz value (custom resolution). has somebody of you any experience with this option and does a higher refresh rate already helped someone here?

greets

It does allow some changing - but not past 60hz for me
It's possible it's because of my monitor. I'm not sure what the interlace does?

yeah. I meant on windows. The idea is simple. On a 60Hz standard monitor dithering will work with 30Hz and leads of course to a 30Hz flickering at parts of the screen.

I don't know exactly how dithering was invented, however I think that the better and newer algorithms make problems cause it's only temporal on different parts of the display.

Long story short. If dithering is the problem, a higher Refresh rate will also lead to a higher dithering frequency. Always the half of the refreshing rate of the display.

i have to overclock my dell u24 to ~72hz get to my sweet spot. sometimes it will revert to its native 60hz & i'll start having problems again. a little tricky to get all the numbers to balance to overclock..

hadnt considered it might mainly be a factor of increasing the dithering frequency
