bkdo -Using the 13 without the protector to see if the symptoms come back
Definitely not - in my 11 years of this condition, I've learned that if it works….don't touch anything!
bkdo Using the screen protector on a different problematic device to see if it prevents symptoms
I plan on doing this and will report back, although I feel it's unlikely that the protector is doing anything special other than making the screen matte rather than glossy.
bkdo -Messing with the brightness levels to see if it affects symptoms
Brightness doesn't seem to affect me at all.
bkdo -Trying different types of games to see if it affects the onset of symptoms (For example, a more graphics intensive game may cause worse symptoms)
The problem is once I trigger problems, it can be days until I 'reset' back to a non-migraine state. It's just not worth it so I don't bother with games anymore. I haven't tested them extensively.
ryans By games do you mean games with a lot of movement (think Grand Theft Auto, or, racing game)? Or even a crossword puzzle or Scrabble kind of game, would give you symptoms?
I'm fine with the puzzle games but forget about GTA etc.
Yes I should clarify, I believe it's games with fast movement. I tried some drift and rally games but felt the familiar onset of symptoms an hour or so after playing for only 15 mins.
Puzzle games are fine. The weird thing is I used to be a games developer, but I've not even played a game in years now because of my issues.
[deleted] This is really good news, let us know more about it. For me I did not have any luck with screen protectors, tried some of them but eye strain was still there. Btw I'm more than happy to try and see if ip 13 works.
I don't know why it works for me, but it does. It shouldn't….but it does. 😃
