Has anyone taken the VCS (visual contrast sensitivity) test before? I couldn't find any mentions of it on this forum.
It's a first-line screening test often used to identify possible biotoxin exposure. In essence, it's a "nonspecific test of neurological function".
I took it many years ago, before I had any problems with screen intolerance (in the context of other health issues). It came up negative, i.e. no issues reported. Now, I decided to take it again. Lo and behold... a clear positive.
RESULTS - OVERALL: POSITIVE
Your results suggest that you may be suffering from a condition affecting your visual system, and you should consider seeing your healthcare provider, or a provider who understands contrast sensitivity testing.
Of course, this is not a huge shocker: I already knew I had problems with my visual system. Still, not all visual problems are the same.
Like many others on this forum, I think that we do not all suffer from the same issue, but likely fall into different categories. I think any step that lets us identify those categories, would be a step in the right direction. Knowing what group you belong to would be very useful, as this would let you discern much more quickly what solutions from other community members might work for you.
That's why I'm writing this post. I'd be interested how other people on the forum do with this test. If you only want to know whether you pass/fail, the test is free. You only have to sign up with your e-mail and the test itself takes about 10 minutes.
If you decide to take the test, please also leave a comment if it simply comes out negative. That's also interesting to know š
Finally, I'd like to make clear that I'm not suggesting this as actionable information. You may of course act on it as you see fit, but my goal is merely to become a little wiser! š
