rahua I sincerely think you people on this forum are all slightly overexaggerating your issues.
Hi rahua, and welcome to LEDStrain!
I have had this what you called issue for approximately 10 years. In that time i have visit 10+ specialist, mostly eye-specialists. Because this is an very unusual problem sometimes people don’t believe it’s real. That is a normal reaction, because it’s like 200 people on this forum, that’s like a tear in the ocean.
What we can see on this forum is that some (or maybe many) people has some kind of BVD or similar, and that they mostly triggers on dithering/flicker from LED-screens/lights. Let say that because of the BVD or similar the brain gets wrong signals and then sends the wrong signals to the eye muscles.
The information about screen, flicker and so on you are referring to is general knowledge for some. At least me. I have a couple of super-nerdy tech friends. The problem is that the brain somehow get the wrong info and sends wrong info back to the eyes muscles.
For me it was maybe the LASIK i did 19 years ago that changed my eyes so i got this problem.
Back in 2015 i could work 3x20 minutes a day behind an old before-led screen, so don’t say people is overexaggerating this issues. My eyes muscles was hurting so much.
If you are willing to come to Sweden, i am happy to see you and discuss this problem. My girlfriend is a nurse, she can also tell you about my eye-problems for the last ten years with “newer screens”.
Hope my post helps so you can understand more about your issue, or what i like to call it, a problem.
If you have some more questions i will happily answer them 🙂
