JTL So Phillips has these replacement LED tubes that fit into fluorescent light fixtures and are claimed to be flicker free, not ugly and blue, etc. Would anyone be interested if I tried some out in my garage (as I am converting it into a server room) and write a detailed report? http://www.lighting.philips.ca/products/product-highlights/instantfit.html
JTL Got it 😃 No flicker vs older fluorescent technology. Tested with Canon T5i and well standing under it for 10 minutes with no problems. I believe this is the one my father bought. https://www.homedepot.ca/en/home/p.led-17w--32w-t8-tled-instant-fit-cool-white-4000k.1000837302.html Well here's one picture taken with my GoPro (as I can't find the memory card for my DSLR 😐) https://cdn.jtl.pw/GOPR0532.JPG
degen JTL I didn't doubt you, but I would have been excited to see a lamp manufacturer list it as a feature. Might give an indication that we will see more flicker-free lamps in the future. One step at a time I guess.
KM I realized lamps tend to have a very different name or even totally different specs in Europe vs. USA/Canada. Makes things more difficult...
