Those criminals 🙁
Don't worry, you can always buy them on Ali-express or Ebay. Personally, I am OK with any light source except LED. Hopefully in China, where I live now, there won't be any bans in the nearest future. EU is a dictatorship of some kind)
Alexmam I'd rather not live in internet censorship land
In Canada you can still get 100+ watt "industrial use" bulbs 😃
Alexmam EU is a dictatorship of some kind
Hoping for Brexit, Frexit, Nexit, etc.
Personally I want to live in France 😛
Alexmam It goes through customs and they will very quickly realize I'm trying to import banned material.
I'm curious as what are EU forum users using as light bulbs? I'm currently only with 3-4 halogen bulbs left and I don't know what to do. I see there are still online stores where you seem to be able to buy halogen bulbs but it's just a matter of time until they are all gone!
JTL censorship is easily broken by using VPN for 60USD per year. For expats, China is much more liberal than any other country. I can do here anything I want except hardcore illegal stuff. And most definitely, nobody tells me what kind of bulbs should I use or what kind of toilet I should buy. Europe is jail.
Alexmam You have a point
I've gotten so many far worse things through UK customs that I really doubt light bulbs will be an issue.
Seagull well, I'm not in the UK, and customs do check what you're importing in Switzerland.
__528491__ Switzerland isn't EU?
I really don't know what I should do when there's no more incandescent bulbs in the EU countries. They didn't think this through at all. It's like they don't know that people exist who get eye strain and headaches from LED bulbs within just a few minutes. It is called "democracy" but people haven't been asked and there was no public debate at all. Luckily you can still buy some incandescent types online in Germany.
KM Sorry, my question is off topic, but private messaging is not possible in this forum. Are you from Germany?
Markus Yes, Amazon.de still has some.
KM I would be delighted if you contact me via email@example.com. I am interest in a further exchange with other people from Germany.
