MagnuM Thanks. I have been aware of Gunnars for long but never tested because of some negative feedback, in particular lenses are not completely neutral if I recall?
Did not know about Thereaspecs. I am keen on exploring that path if they do not mount corrective lenses. Today I happened to find some orange goggles for laser protection in front of me while I was working on a very bight shared monitor in a room infested with fluorescent light. Those googles have an optical density filter of 7+ for UV to green, which is definitely unnecessary for non-laser light, but the effect was very interesting. I immediately felt some relief.
Quoting from https://www.theraspecs.com/blog/fluorescent-light-sensitivity-causes-symptoms-solutions/
"Talk with your employer about how the lighting affects your health and your ability to be productive, if appropriate. Suggest alternate workspace locations or request an increase in natural lighting and/or fluorescent diffusers."
About diffusers...
another observation of the last 10 days is that I have had a less harsh time at my MacBook in a lab with fluorescent lamps covered by diffusers which also make the light yellowish. In the new apartment I have moved in there are unfortunately those big circular fluorescent lamps but they do no annoy me so much because the light is quite diffused.
Learning a lot from this website and putting together lots of pieces of a still very complex puzzle. Thanks everyone!
