I get migraines from polarised sunglasses, given that the light from LCDs and OLEDs which affect me similarly are also polarised there is a clear connection for me.
I believe this is because our brains have to work harder to correct for light distortions which occur as polarised light passes through our eyes,

I general, I believe that anything which increases the processing work my brain has to do to render an image can cause me symptoms. Be it flickering light, blurry fonts, dithering, polarised light, or simply concentrating really hard on complex objects and environments.
