Please help determine the cause of my symptoms. I'm confused, when we say PWM sensitive, I thought different people could have different ranges and that we didn't necessarily mean sensitive to low PWMs only? Because on my unusable devices the thing that really stands out is high PWM.
Usable:
ASUS X555L; mostly likely LED & PWM <10 kHz
Surface Pro 6 i5; IPS, PWM 10-15 kHz(eye fatigue was relatively easier to notice but thought it was just because the 12'' screen is harder to read on in general)
Galaxy book2 pro 360; OLED, PWM 59 Hz
Unusable:
MacBook Air M1 2020; IPS, PWM ~120 kHz
These have been all i've ever tried; all were used at lowest brightness levels but never a problem with windows devices.
Does this really mean I'll be out of luck with most apple items? Interestingly this more used Air that I'm currently on has pretty much stopped producing eyestrain about 12 months into use, while the other, barely used unit which was bought together has not changed its ways
