Buying a matte monitor is a better idea.
glossy finish TV- what coating/film can be installed to make it matte ?
But I need 55", and there is no PC monitor at this size, only a TV.
And all TVs come glossy.
nogahorovitch Ok, you can buy Samsung's "The Frame" display in 55" w/ matte.
I was also hoping for this TV, but it turns out it has terrible flicker, especially at zero brightness: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/the-frame-2022-qled
Sunspark Thanks. Is there a model of Samsung's "The Frame" display that is flicker free ?

Yet it exists!
Not only is it matte, but on top of that it is completely flicker-free!
I quote from the review where you also have the model of this monitor:
"559M1RYV uses DC dimming instead of PWM. After testing, 559M1RYV is DC dimming at 0-100% brightness."
AIVFI Not to pricy, also… way over 1 thousand euros and VA only
I've done some market research and I'm pretty sure there isn't another monitor or TV over 50" that is:
- matte
- PWM-free
- with DisplayPort
- with at least 120Hz (important for pixel inversion)
- with blue light reduction mode
Philips Momentum 559M1RYV is the only product of its kind, which is why it is so expensive. It is a niche product and will probably disappear from the market quickly, just like 65" PWM-free monitors. People just don't care about their eyes and buy OLEDs.

Thanks.
1. Which model you meanא turns out it has terrible flicker ? Is it The Frame 2022 QLED ?
2, From which review you quoted about the 559M1RYV ? I don't find it.
1. Yes, Samsung The Frame 2022 QLED.
"We tested the 65 inch Samsung The Frame 2022"
"It flickers at 960Hz in the 'Movie' Picture Mode, which is high enough that you won't notice it. However, it drops down to 120Hz in other modes"
https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/the-frame-2022-qled
2.

I feel I can't count on this review, because they didn't specify what method they tested and found that "559M1RYV is DC dimming at 0-100% brightness"
Maybe someone have another review, that more elaborate and specifying about the testing of the flicker- is it oscilloscope or other. etc

Ibacklight wirh Ambiglow, W-LED FALD (full-array local dimming ),
VA panel
Is it true DC dimming ?
Other Philips VA momentum are flickering- high frequency >1000 Hz PWM

You need to accept a compromise, or wait till a future date.
Don't shop off spec sheets, you need to examine them in person if possible to do so.
