hey, also sprichst du auch deutsch?
I know that there are many points where my theory is insufficient, however I currently do not have a better one.
Because every display is different: dithering, pwm, blue light, color scheme, flickering, font anti aliasing, "dancing" pixels, graphics driver,....
Because our eyes react to one ore some of my metionend points it will take some time, till the eyes are adjusted to the new display. In most cases the adjustment never will sufficient enough to kill the eyestrain. This is my experience so far. Some displays are better some are worse. Some graphic cards (and driver) aber better, some are worse.
So why do I have problems with new firefox, although I do not have any eye problems with firefox 56 on a trusted system?
Think about a object which is directly in front of you. Now the object moves straight away from you. The eyes can watch the movement away from you without any problem. Now imagine the same object moving towards to you. The effect is difficult to verify, however my eyes needed a short moment to follow the track of the object in the right way.
Of course. HTC One Mini 1 and 2 are perfectly ok for me, but my eyes needed some days to get used to the Mini 2.
Also my Samsung TV (2013) is ok for me.
A month ago I made a EEG and some other tests. I'm at perfect health, however the EEG also showed that flickering lights made some discomfort to me. Currently I do not know any other health test which may help me. Also I went many times to the sicca ambulance of the Graz university hospital -> my eyes are also very ok.
