This is amazing work. Asahi is becoming closer to a realistic daily driver. There is a single post on here about it not causing strain.
On Asahi's feature support, it is interesting that you can shut the backlight entirely off (but you cannot adjust the brightness yet). I wonder if using an external light source, like halogen light bulb, to illuminate the screen when shutting off the backlight, could reduce eyestrain.

Setting the display brightness remains unsupported until DCP support lands, however you can switch the backlight on and off. Display brightness settings seem to persist across boots on these machines, so setting the brightness in macOS and then rebooting into Linux suffices as a workaround until the patches for the DCP are distributed.
