hansennn OK, I first thought you had an OP3 and wanted to know my settings for it. I think the main reason the OP3 works for me is the type of display it has. I believe they have a return policy so you could send back the device within like 2 weeks. It runs on "OxygenOS", a custom Android version made by OnePlus. CyanogenMod runs on it, too. But currently they are in the process of switching to "LineageOS" so at the moment there are no official downloads available anymore.
I have not found any other device that works that great for me. The closest is an old iPhone 4 which is not perfect but still very usable for me. But: There are different versions of the iPhone 4, and you won't know if you have a "good version" until you try it. And: It is totally unusable if you upgrade it to iOS 7. I think the chances of finding an iPhone 4 that has a good screen AND is still running iOS 6 are very, very low nowadays.
Others here in the thread had luck with an HTC One M8. But it's eerily similar to the iPhone 4: There are good and bad versions of the display (no way to know it before trying) and if you upgrade it to Android Marshmallow it might cause greater eye strain...
