Hello,
I am happy to see that I am not the only one with this issue. I have recently gotten a used macbook retina 2013 and have a strong eyestrain. Before I had 2014 13in version but returned it due to the same issue (hoped the issue would get resolved with Sierra).
I am not sure whether the retina 2013 uses PWM or if the problem is temporal dithering or driver issue.
However, when I close one eye and move very close to the monitor, I can actually !perceive! a flicker.
My question is - should I just return the computer, or is there any chance someone figured out how to turn off temporal dithering or managed to revert to old intel drivers even on a mac?
I cant believe there is noone with enough programming skill to just turn off a feature of a graphics card driver, or am I wrong? (I know about the amulet hotkey solution, cannot however find any downloadable file and it might be outdated for Sierra).
Thank you very much.
