I can rule out crazy. I carry two laptops, and observe myself a lot, i.e. what I eat, what tools I use, how I use it at the same time. Macbook air m1 screen and many macbook screens have something about them, that is a primary cause of headache, severe strain, insomnia after prolonged use. I am observing people in cafes and can clearly see, many macbook users barely can focus on a screen for prolonged time, only those who use older macbooks seem to be using it with ease. This issue is much bigger, and apple has some law suit against lies about macbook m1 screens also in United States. But then when it comes to software, I have no clue as there are no objective tests, apart from some folks showing odd pixel movements when plugging mac into ink type display, as if it renders that temporal dithering effect which is happening at very high speed. I would really want someone to confirm that mac mini m2 plus portable screen is all good to go, then I would build this type of machine and use it as portable. Or simply try to find in second market macbook pro 2018 i5 13 inch, as it was really easy on my eyes and it was last macbook I have used from work that was eye strain free.
