Pretty cool, if it's just a prototype at this stage I would suggest adding a DisplayPort. There's no royalties required for it compared to HDMI.
Do you have plans for bigger displays, like 27"? 24 for me (graphics and video editing) is just too small.

Hey there! Our team is working on the fourth prototype at the moment and the Eazeye currently has an HDMI port, so we don’t think the display port would be necessary. If we were to add a DP Port at this stage, we would have to redesign the circuit board since it won’t fit into the bezel (the black bar at the bottom of the monitor). Regardless, thanks for your comment and we’ll definitely consider it if we find ourselves needing to create another prototype!
Since this is the first version of the Eazeye, we only have the 24 inch display.
Is it going to be true 8 bit or true 10 bit ? Because here almost everyone have issues with dithering (FRC) tech.

for IPS, I can't tolerate the glow (not the source of the light, just the unequal proportion of light on the screen), TN are only panels I can tolerate (more comfortable for reading even than Dasung e-ink due the glare on the cheap plastic on it)

PS: Please do not put a shiny plastic around it, nor include front led (on indicator), as that is a source of discomfort for many of us, tho it's fixable with black athletic tape

Hey there! The reflector panel actually diffuses the light evenly onto the screen. The Eazeye doesn’t have a shiny plastic wrap or a front LED so that shouldn’t be a worry. Thank you so much for your support!

LED monitors make me dizzy, and that's affecting my performance at work. Today was a very difficult day for me and I felt so discouraged and sad about my situation. I'm afraid of losing my job. This post cheered me up and gave me hope. Thank you for thinking in us!

@createaz curious what type of light is used, LED or CCFL?
I pre-ordered the monitor, overall I'm satisfied with it, but unfortunately it does not solve my problem.
I'm not photo sensitive, but I'm super sensitive to glare, thus using this monitor next to a window is not an option for me.
I prefer dark room, so I'm using it with the backlight on, tbh the light temperature feels like my 15 years old CCFL, DELL ST2410 (TN)
TN panels are the only ones that seem to work for me and this is first IPS monitor that I can use, tbh it feels like TN, with slightly better blacks. Usually I can't tolerate strong blacks and prefer washed out colors but somehow on this monitor the contrast does not bother me as much.
Another interesting thing is I can tolerate my MBP and MBA M2 on it without using BetterDisplay (virtual screen which disables dithering/FRC)
In a summary for me
EAZEYE IPS = TN + Mac with BetterDisplay
It does not improve my situation, just matches my somewhat tolerable setup (which took me years to figure out)
PS: The monitor stand needs to be redesigned, no vertical alignment option was fixable with book under it, but the pin locking thing is terrible, super unstable, it fall 10 times within the first hour of usage, I'm avoiding to touch the monitor not to fall on the desk and break the screen.

FYI betterdisplay virtual screen by itself does not truly disable dithering, you also need to use one of the most recent BetterDisplay beta builds with a new "GPU Dithering" toggle under Image Adjustments in order to to fully disable it. BTW, dithering is disabled when the toggle is gray.

hmm I installed the beta but I do not see that option
I'm using low res 1600*900 on external monitor, when I overlap two windows (eg. system settings + About this Mac) color banding is very visible so was assuming dithering is disabled (MBP 16inch Radeon Pro 5300M).
I also have enabled:
- Always use the discrete graphics card
- Amulet Hotkey on AMD card > 10.9 OS
Tho I'm not sure if they make any difference, screen feels same as before when using just BetterDisplay without those two changes
