Screens on Cars

I have special glasses with binocular vision correction and tints to help me out in daily life. All my devices have a red-filter on at all times and that also seems to help. I'm fine with LED lights at or under 2700K.

I'm looking at buying a new car and running into problems with screens in cars and I can't figure out exactly what the issue is. I test drove a few cars and so far: Tesla (regular LCDs with no red-filters) -> two day migraine, VW id-series & Polestar (again regular monitor LCD with no red-shifting) -> cue the aura from the migraine prodrome. So far, the Hyundai Ioniq (LCD with a red-filter) and the Mercedes lines (who have an OLED central display) aren't a problem. I'm worried about buying a car and having the display break down, or ordering a car that comes with a different display from what I test drove. Anyone know what's going on?

If you're sensitive to screens, be careful and thoroughly try your car before buying it. I would even suggest to rent one and try it for like multiple days driving a lot before pushing the trigger.
10 minutes of trial won't be sufficient to be sure you'll be safe with the screen.

Why would the car display break down if I've never had a monitor, laptop or phone display break on me in all these years?

Sounds like you've identified 2 cars worth a further look.

I suppose it's possible that there might be a panel lottery, but if it's from the same year and given the custom shape of the vehicle, I'm speculating that the entire production run is for that model year in its entirety since manufacturers know how many they plan to build in a year generally.

Liberator005 The test drive was overnight, we got the car for 24 hours. Is that not normal for test driving a new car? These screens can become worse at night and I wanted to be sure i could use it at night.
