I am using a Moto G Play 2024 without any issue. Cheap too. Pixel 6a makes me confused and gives me a headache in like 30 seconds.

It will reset with each phone reset, I imagine there is some app out there that can simulate tapping where you could set up a macro to turn it back off after each reboot. I reboot my phone so rarely that I just do it manually when needed.

K-Moss Same here!!! Moto G Play 2024 is the first "normal" (non e-ink) smartphone that does not cause me any symptoms!! I have it 2 days now, after more than 10 years of suffering, and it's the first one that really works without any issues!!!

I force GPU rendering, and disable HW overlays.

I can use this as my daily phone with little issue. Long periods (2+ hours) I will start to get whoozy and nauseous.

Only thing that sucks is not Google services.

JimK I'd suggest you try a glass screen protector and/or rose filtered glasses. The Sonim XP Pro uses Android 14 and has one of the most comfortable screens.

By the way, the Moto G 2025 is already on Android 16. For a daily driver I like that device, and the screen should work for 99.9% of people. Has a headphone jack, the screen has a thicker, glassier feel than most others, and it is much lighter and thinner than the XP Pro.

The phone functions well. The lower res screen is easier to drive, so is less demanding on the chipset and memory, and consumes less battery.

I prefer the G 2025 over the G Play 2024. It feels like a better phone.

You have absolutely zero way of knowing that. You should really stop making claims like this. All you can say is a particular device works for YOU. That's it.

Unless the device is rooted you cannot roll back an update. If you have a device setup that works for you, you should never update it, ever.

The G 2025 is a low res screen with zero PWM and zero dithering, and is as one man put it one of the kindest phone screens he experienced over the past 10 years. It is rather good for those needing exceptional eye and brain comfort in a thin and pleasant daily driver format.

It's not an educated guess, it's a made up number, and we need to be careful because a lot of people with this condition can end up desperate for a solution, and can have a tendency to latch onto anything that someone says will work.

We should be very careful when we talk about solutions and be clear that the solution worked for YOU, and there is no guarantee or claim it will work for anyone else. It's super easy for desperate people to get scammed/start throwing money at things based on nothing but hearsay and bold claims. I've been swindled out of well over ten thousand dollars over the years when I have hit low points and gotten desperate and I don't want to see others go down that path.
