JimK I'd suggest you try a glass screen protector and/or rose filtered glasses. The Sonim XP Pro uses Android 14 and has one of the most comfortable screens.
By the way, the Moto G 2025 is already on Android 16. For a daily driver I like that device, and the screen should work for 99.9% of people. Has a headphone jack, the screen has a thicker, glassier feel than most others, and it is much lighter and thinner than the XP Pro.
The phone functions well. The lower res screen is easier to drive, so is less demanding on the chipset and memory, and consumes less battery.
I prefer the G 2025 over the G Play 2024. It feels like a better phone.
