Sorry I am not fully following all the comments, but will catch up at some point. Did not have a chance to test that M2 air with right cable either. But latest comments kind of interesting about red color. We were tought that red is good, blue is bad. Period. But is it really true? And if you are just like me - jacking up full on, full redness night shift mode on all machines, maybe we are doing more harm than good? Because eyes are not full body, brain based on color temperature produces certain chemicals in brain, and if it reads wrong signals during a day, it might not get enough blue color stimulation to promote alertness and sensation that this is a day - a time for hunting or gathering 🙂 ?
Also, I still stand that monitor is great, especially running windows machines. - Tested win11 and win10, win10 is actually less stimulating, more flat experience. I think it is better than win11 after all. As for mac, well, even if it is better and if baseline is paper reading experience, then to this baseline windows 10 definitely is closer than mac. But this is subjective of course. Switching between screens, operating systems is the best strategy for heavy users IMO. Nothing beats it. Your yes get excercize like in a gym, adapting to one, readapting to another, and so on. Not to mention neuroplasticity.
As for VA, I did not see evidence it is better. No correlation at all. In fact LG was starting to make its great panels with IPS technology mainly, so this is whole new category. Focusing on one factor as wining factor, proved to be misleading. Well at least with my person research on this issue. I will find millions of users who made big mistake with VA, i.e. those who have seeked low eye strain situation. And I used Omen for light gaming too, and even if I am not heavy gamer, even refresh rate as low as 125 Hz is amazing experience in comparison to 60Hz. So without promoting anyone a product, I think it was an excellent purchase.
