Yes, it will help because the iGPU will be completely turned off.
I'm using driver version 32.0.101.5768 (dated July 24, 2024). I downloaded the driver from here: https://catalog.s.download.windowsupdate.com/c/msdownload/update/driver/drvs/2024/09/2ef13455-fce7-468d-aa96-f3cc995fd787_6af9222a1714a6f19139111abe602ba1163cd11b.cab. I didn't install the control panel or change any settings, so all settings are default (8-bit, RGB).
Connections: HDMI-HDMI and DP-HDMI. I haven't noticed any difference between them.
I am using the latest Linux Ubuntu without any modifications and Windows 11 Home 23H2 (22631.4169).
