Hi everyone, I'm new here. I have been having issues related to screens for the last few months, including many of the symptoms found here. Headaches, dizziness, eye pain and strain, difficulty focusing and blurry vision, etc. The weird thing is, unlike many here, I didn't really get a new device when having these issues. My main TV currently is a Panasonic ST30 Plasma, and it gives me the most problems of any screen, despite the fact I have had and used for like 14 years without issues. My other devices can give similar issues including a Samsung Chromebook, an Amazon Fire Tablet 10 inch, a Steam Deck OLED, and a Nintendo Switch. However, I would say all the symptoms are much milder, maybe because of the size and proximity of the screen?
Needless to say, I'm a bit confused by all of this, as I have never had issues with these devices or screens in general before. The symptoms absolutely line up with what you guys are experiencing, but the circumstances don't (e.g. getting a new device with a bunch of PWM flicker, and then having problems afterwards). So could this be "LEDStrain", or possibly something else going on?
The only thing I can remember being different is the lightbulb in my overhead light in my room went dim for a week or so, and I was too lazy to change it. My symptoms started around then, and after changing it, things improved a bit, but I still have all these lingering issues. But the lightbulb wasn't flickering or anything, just a bit dim. That surely wouldn't cause flickering sensitivity or something like that, right? I feel silly to even type that up and ask that, but this has been such a bizarre experience which Doctors can't figure out, and Idk, it's the only change, however insignificant, that I remember when all this started.
To anyone who takes the time to read all this and respond, thank you, it is much appreciated.
