Many of us, including myself, often found correlation between onset / worsening of vision issues and flu, cold, and sinusitis.

This doctor says that flu and viruses can indeed affect binocular vision and induce eye turn / strabismus.

How Having The Flu Can Affect Your Vision

I do not want to sound like I am sponsoring someone, but also this other video from the same doctor is interesting. She successfully cured a kid wearing Coke-bottle glasses, enormously reducing her lens prescription.

Patient Update: Success With Decreasing Lens Prescription In A Five Year Old

That is what I saw happening at a workshop by Leo Angart. Some attendees, all adults over 50 yo, went to a nearby pharmacy and bought glasses with reduced prescription twice within the two days of the training, consisting of exercises with Brock string and else.

Gurm I've started taking CBD and it definitely helps make my MacBook screen more tolerable by relaxing the eyes/muscles/focus.

vince Thanks for the info. Which product are you using exactly and where are you based?

I use Cymbiotika Nexus which has CBD. But I’m sure there are many good brands. I’m in the US. I only take 1 pump vs the 14 pumps recommended. But taking 2 pumps definitely relaxed my eyes so that the MacBook was tolerable. CBD is quite amazing.

vince I can't imagine what would happen if you took 14 pumps...:-)
        Side effects?
        Do you have any concern?

It does slow dow your reflexes, so I wouldn’t drive after taking it. But you will find it has other benefits you didn’t expect.

vince Uh, that can be a serious downside. Is avoiding to drive your precaution or Is it illegal to drive after taking the oil?
If I am not too invasive, did you get the oil prescribed specifically for your eyestrain issues? In case, I am curious what the diagnosis of your doctor was and which type of specialist you visited, given that no one seems to know what is causing our eyestrain. Thanks.

Has anyone found a way to recover from eyestrain quickly, like, within a few hours? I am thinking of a medicine which can be purchased anywhere, possibly without prescription, such as an anti-inflammatory drug, a painkiller or a muscle relaxant.

JTL Hey JTL, did you try the neurolens? I am pretty curious about that product especially about the machine that they use to check your eyes alignment! Unfortunately, they are only in the USA and Canada, not Europe!

              Lauda89 No.

Unfortunately at the time I made that post it wasn't available in Canada, and the claim that it is, is rather news to me 🙂

AGI It’s just a precaution on my end. Doctors in the US will hand out anti-depressants like candy, but won’t go anywhere near CBD. Unless you find someone really knowledgeable into homeopathic solutions.

vince I lived there and I got a feeling of the differences in the medical system.
Do you consider CBD a homeopathic solution? How long can you take it for without developing any side effect or addiction? Thanks.

AGI I don’t think there’s any stopping CBD now. Even Martha Stewart has her own line. I do consider it a better alternative than big pharma drugs. I try not to take everyday as I noticed I will get irritable. I can imagine one can get addicted to it since relaxes the body so much and makes you feel less anxious.

                      vince Thanks. I see.
Are anxiolytics / anti-depressants (I vaguely know they are distinct drugs) known to help with our symptoms?
I may have missed your initial posts. Have you been diagnosed with heterophoria? Are you doing else like vision therapy?

AGI I haven't been diagnosed with any eye issues. But my optometrist told me my eye glass prescription is very sensitive and he had to do some top to bottom measurement. Usually that's not necessary and they only measure PD.

I trust (sensible) doctors over celebrities more 😛

I'm not aware of any addiction concerns with CBD in the medical literature. I'd be more concerned about building a tolerance and having a reduction of positive effects.
