After using an Nvidia GTX 1070 for over a year I originally bought before my eyesight was "getting better" I eventually discovered that temporal dithering was always on, even in the BIOS and it's not even disabled with the Linux driver, which has dithering options of it's own and it may have been contributing to some discomfort I was having when using my desktop.
Since I'm not a gamer I decided to get an NVidia Quadro K4000 and it seems to work well with even recent NVidia drivers under Windows 7 and Devuan Jessie (Debian fork with removed systemd). I'm even writing this message from Firefox Quantum 59, maybe the early versions were problematic? Font's don't look blurry to me.
I've always been a Debian user on the server side and ran desktop Ubuntu from 2007-2011 when I switched back to Windows because I was depressed and fed up with dealing with my own custom setups and didn't have the energy for it anymore. Glad to be back.
Some pictures
More soon.
