VA panels :post here your experience!

Hello guys I have a Samsung TV 4k 50" VA, and it's very comfortable (UE55NU7400)*
*I modded it on Menu service to delete PWM.
I'd like to know your experience about VA panels in term's of migraine, eye strain and fatigue.
Yes, I know that GPU and OS are important to keep all calm but a good monitor is the key for our eyes.
Post here your opinions.

i hate va because of gamma shift when you move your head. worse than ips for me

Older versions of VA such as Sharp's ASV-VA variant from many of their early-mid 2000s Aquos TVs is one of the most comfortable types of screens ever for me. Wayyyyyyyyy better than IPS in terms of comfort while still retaining the advantages like wider viewing angles.

Unsure about newer versions of VA. I only have experience with older VAs from the 2000s

DisplaysShouldNotBeTVs Why would VA be "Wayyyyyyyyy better than IPS in terms of comfort"? Most people use IPS with a high degree of comfort. Why do you suppose you are especially sensitive to IPS?

I thought of this post again. You probably know this already but not all IPS panels are the same. There are some higher end panels that have better uniformity across the screen (e.g no vinaigrette effect or uneven colors) or even a polarizer, which if implemented properly seemingly improves contrast and viewing angles, among other advantages. The problem is being able to view one as they're often relegated to high end or discontinued models, and I'd be curious what someone like you would think of them.

I haven't tried VA, but my assumption was this is great compromise between IPS and TN. And I never liked IPS, because it has poor contrast ratio, its ugly. For me, having deep blacks is way more important within sRGB range. Unless you are editing photos and need best colors for $$$ spent, then IPS is way to go. But, the problem is - there are just as many reviews of eye strainy VA or TN panels as for IPS panels 🙂
