Hey, do you know how I can view to an update log or something like that?
However, I'm pretty sure that jannuary 2018 version is very ok for my eyes and april 2018 not.

Harrison https://osmc.tv/blog/ is the closest I've found to an update log.
This might take trial and error, but if you can a version that works, and a version above that doesn't (let's say January 2018 worked and February 2018 doesn't, that will help narrow down the issue.)
Thanks for your help. I'll try. I think downgrade is not possible, isn't it?

Click on "images" and you can download images that date back to January 2017.
Harrison I am not familiar with that type of phone. Is the cause of your eyestrain an upgrade of the OS or of some apps? I am curios if it is similar to what happened to my Android phone last month.
I factory reset it. After that, I downloaded only two apps and did not update any stock app. I have used it little since. I feel it is not like before the issue, so I am a bit confused about what happened, but it is definitely smoother than after the upgrade. I am tempted to re-update everything and see if the strain comes back strong, but I am kinda tired of all these tests...
I found the contact of the developer of the app which I suspect of. It is...Google! But no reply. I shall probably say "But of course no reply".
Hey,
I can give you some update here. Every version of OSMC higher than 1.1.2018 gives me eyestrain. Also I tried out Libre Elec with the latest Testbuild 9.0x gives me the same eyestrian as OSMC.
Harrison Does the 2018-01 build still work for you, and newer builds are still worse? I was recently trying to set up a Raspberry Pi 3 B+ for video playback with LibreELEC. It has that little eye strain even in the Kodi menu. And OSMC took offline their old builds in the meantime. I guess I'm a little late to the party.
Edit: Ok so I guess I found a server that still has everything on it, I'm just not sure whether the last good version is OSMC_TGT_rbp2_20180103.img.gz or OSMC_TGT_rbp2_20180109.img.gz
