What is the easiest on eyes technology? CCFL DC dimming could be good?

Hi I read many posts on this forum and on the internet about CCFL being better for photophobia and eye strain (despite usually using pwm dimming) and many people said it could be linked to "more diffused" backlight technology compared to LED. Someone could advice be about this fact and telling if there are any devices or laptop with CCFL pwm free dithering free display? Looking up on the internet I found someone saying old Thinkpad t40 series and Dell precision m series could be analog dimmed but I didn't find a sure answer. Please share Infos and opinions please

Juy I have a Dell 2208 WFPt monitor which is both CCFL and TN (can't handle IPS screens). Will definitely be testing this in the coming weeks and let you guys know how it works for me. Used to use this monitor for years, have had it since like 2005 but I used it before I developed neck problems which screwed with my ability to handle screens

Juy screen works very well and is much definitely an improvement for me and my symptoms. Just started using it today and I've been flared up so too early to say if it's a solution but it definitely feels much better so far.

cooldudz ok thank you, let's keep up to date. What do you think about LCD TN there are specific panels that seem to have a more "diffused" backlight and are recommended here and on Reddit. I was wondering because usually ccfl uses pwn dimming so a good LED TN pwm free dithering free panel could be the final solution

I switched to CCFL-backlit TN screen from LED-backlit TN screen btw.

The problem with ccfl is pwm value do you know what's your monitor one?

Juy Yes, it was my main device for a year+ and I still had symptoms. Switched just today to CCFL-backlit TN and feel a reduction in symptoms, but again too early to say completely.

No, I don't. It's a Dell 2208 WFPt monitor if you want to find out though.
