simplex But we do know. This is the point of K-Moss's thread here and stuff he has been posting lately. Numerous studies done on the effects of how wifi and all of this affects the body. We have to stop burying our heads in the sand and pretend it all doesn't exist. It's very real. I'm starting to believe the people who refuse to accept it when the truth is staring them right in the face are simply afraid. They are very afraid that their pasttime of watching anime on their smartphone is actually damaging their health. They are stuck in the denial/anger phase in the 5 stages of grief and this is why you see such vitriol responses when someone like K-Moss posts these kind of things anywhere. I am not saying you are doing this Simplex, I am just addressing the collective out there.
On some level, we should be afraid. This is how our ancestors survived over the years. That fear compelled them to make changes and adapt to a hostile environment. When I say "adapt", I don't necessarily mean engage with it but rather, "overcome" it. And sometimes overcoming it meant moving the fuck away from something that was killing you. If there was a drought, move to where there was water. If you lived in an area where a bunch of lions were killing people, move to where there are no lions. We've buried our heads in the sand and believe our lies when we tell ourselves things like OLED screens, social media, and internet pornography are not hostile environments when I see everyday the effect they have on people. People are wasting away. And they are doing it to themselves at this point. They traded good health, peace of mind, and true connection to others for dopamine rushes.
I'm not afraid of the things I can't change. I don't give second thought to how I am probably living in some EMF soup in my neighborhood where every other house has one or two Tesla's with a charging station, every 3rd house has solar panels likely giving off tons of dirty electricity, etc. But I refuse to spend the majority of my free time/leisure on devices that make me feel bad. Period. If there is no reason for me to interact with a screen outside of any sense of real urgency (work, paying bills, selling things online, certain things I really need to research in that moment), then fuck it, I refuse to use them anymore. I can learn spanish from reading a book on how to learn spanish rather than use duolingo on my phone. I can read manga instead of watch anime. I can read a book instead of watch a film. I don't need a new car with screens and wifi built into it. Something from 2000-2012 is perfectly safe and can drive me from A to B with no issues. I can choose not to waste time on reddit, which has really just become a place for angry people to try and "dunk" on others over things that are completely trivial.
I don't need to live my life behind the screen. I'm choosing to move away from it. Unfortunately the only thing preventing me from completely disconnecting is the whole work thing, as it seems like most every job require the use of it. Even jobs like being a waiter, they are now using screens to take orders. Or even a landscaper, who needs to use a phone to communicate with clients. Which is why I am here, trying to find a solution out of my inability to tolerate screens. Until then, I enjoy reading threads like this that K-Moss posted, as it really helps me connect the dots on a lot of things, as I see this issue as completely multi-faceted.
