My eyes cant tolerate some of these images

Long time lurker but just created an account -

When I go to https://pixelinversion.com/ some of the images, particularity the ones with vertical or horizontal patterns decimate my eyes to the point where the max I can look at them is 5 seconds. I'm wondering if this occurs for others as well.

TheDavid8 That's expected. Did you know that these can also cause seizures? In Broadcast… there are some strict guidelines.

Some countries, including the UK, Japan, Russia, and Italy,¹⁰ have implemented regulations to limit risks of broadcast material for provoking seizures. Guidelines that are employed in Britain and Japan include limits not only on light flash and colors, but on patterns. Striped patterns are restricted if they last more than 0.5 seconds, occupy at least 25% of the screen at typical viewing distances, and have luminance above 50 candela per meter squared.²

bluetail Thanks for letting me know. I wish regulations could be released to force an option to disable temporal dithering on operating systems. Even the checkerboard patterns have the same effect if I Iower my resolution. You would think that if those patterns could provoke seizures surely it can be assumed temporal dithering could be hazardous.
