Thanks for the video. This last line makes a lot of sense:
"Overall, about as comfortable as OLED gets. DC dimming, the highest PWM rate available on OLED, and no dithering/FRC at all".
Both on paper and in practice this seems to be the best display at the moment.
As for the color space question, this was my random guess. I thought, how are they producing 10 bit? Surely, not a native 10 bit panel on a ~$300 phone, right? The video suggests otherwise. I turned off this setting just to be on the safe side.
Not sure about temporal dithering sensitivity specifically. But I can only use a couple of Windows builds. And I can barely use the latest Honor's Magicbook laptop (patching only) . Especially in GPU mode, it's just brutal. Not even patching helps there. I'm quite sure the laptops display is more or less on par with that of the phone. It seems to be Windows 11 + drivers + RTX 5070 that are causing the symptoms.
