K-Moss I’m a sensitive person too, and I totally relate to what you said. Personally, I enjoy sharp, eye-catchy text much more than colorful or overly bright displays that hurt my eyes.
I’ve always liked Sony screens — on phones, TVs, or anything — they feel naturally comfortable and well-tuned.
I’m not that educated in display tech, but I’ve noticed something similar:
On my AMD laptop (HP EliteBook 845 G7), I hate the dithering — it just feels harsh and tiring. But on Android devices, whenever I root and enable dithering, I instantly feel an improvement. The screen looks smoother, more natural, and somehow more satisfying.
It’s strange how the same feature feels good on phones but not on PCs. Maybe it’s the display type or how the GPU processes color.
I’ve been tweaking displays since the KitKat days, and I still prefer older, softer screens where I can focus easily without feeling strain — even if the resolution is lower.
Thanks for your insights; they actually make a lot of sense to me.
