ColorEdge CG2700X 27" 4K HDR Monitor is True 10 Bit

I was recently in contact with Eizo and they were able to confirm that this monitor is true 10 bit and does NOT use 8bit +2FRC. That said, I will have to save up for this monitor to give it a try as it is quite expensive. I don't want to copy/paste the email here since it was a direct communication. I hope that this can reduce some of the dithering on my PC with the Nvidia 5070. Knowing Windows and Nvidia though, they will do it just because they can.

Mind you, this monitor is meant for the creative space, hence its price. The response time is not something you'd likely enjoy gaming on, but at this point, if it works, I don't care how bad my FPS games feel.

Clokwork Even if it doesn't "work" for making Windows usable, that might not be a fault of the monitor itself considering potentially unknown issues with both modern Windows and NVIDIA GPUs. It might still be an excellent monitor with an otherwise usable setup.

just ask for panel ID they used inside, to check with datasheet

Also ask for color-convertion bit depth inside monitor chip, and do they use spatial or temporal smoothing before send data to panel ( all user configs, such as contrast/clarity/sRGB is processed after input signal bit depth upconvert, then after applying user changes, it downconvert to panel bit depth using dithering )

simplex I know this doesn’t answer everything, but they do use a 16 bit LUT to pick a color to display in 10 bit from what they told me.

simplex I don’t have experience with the 20, 30, and 40 series, but the 5070 is terrible on my trusted good monitor.

what monitor is good for you, and what GPU you use?

In few days I try to test temporal-FRC monitor with rtx4060. Perhaps, monitor's flickering would mask GPU pixel dance, lets see
