AGI How come it updated stuff on its own even if automatic updates are disabled?
Just figured out what happened. Today I rejected a request from Microsoft Updater - or an app with a similar name - to update my Office for Mac. Outlook would keep sent emails in the outbox and not receive anything (I want to hope that is a mere coincidence but it happened also last time), so I was forced to restart it. Upon restarting, a message appeared saying Outlook was not up to date. It re-closed by itself and rebooted. Now the About Outlook pop-up displays the version of December 9. So, maybe not new to you, I cannot even disable updates! I will see if I can delete the Updater application...
Anyhow, I just find this is really annoying. Besides coming up with a new version every second week they even take the freedom to bypass my refusal to update...when Excel for instance is not capable to handle simple graphs on Mac, worse than 10 years ago on Windows! Updates do not really seem to correspond to improvements...
