I'm having some unexpected experiences with intels integrated graphics. I'd like to share in the hope that others might have experienced something similar. I have an office pc provided by my work that uses an i3 6300. I have it connected to two monitors using a vga and a DP to vga adapter, so both my monitors are running off vga. Now at home I have the same monitor, and a pc with a 6600k processor - using the hdmi connection and this pc I get eyestrain. The office pc is fine for me to use all day.
Now the 6300 and the 6600k use identical graphics, and I believe are even the same die - the graphics should be no different. Could it be that my experience is simply due to vga vs hdmi?
I will experiment and see if I can make my 6600k integrated graphics usable with vga adapters, or perhaps a new motherboard that can output vga. Has anyone else had an experience like this?
